Core
Neck & Shoulder Massage
Most signature head spa tiers extend the massage beyond the scalp to the neck, shoulders and sometimes the upper chest and face — exactly where desk workers hold tension, as AP's head spa reporting notes. Its absence is a useful tell: at least one operator's entry treatment explicitly states it does not include neck, back and shoulder massage, while its longer tiers add it.
What happens
- Usually performed while you are reclined at the basin or on the treatment bed, near the end of the ritual or alongside the head bath.
- The practitioner works the neck, the tops of the shoulders and the upper chest/décolletage with massage strokes.
- On some menus it blends into a short face massage as well.
Core or add-on?
Core in most signature tiers, explicitly excluded in some entry tiers. If neck and shoulder work matters to you, check the tier description before booking the shortest option.
Typical price & duration
Included in Galaxy Head Spa's tiers and in Cosset's and The Puretime's signature lists. One trade-press example prices a session built around it: Salon Today describes a 75-minute 'Botanical Décolletage' treatment at $150, built around scalp massage plus neck, shoulder and upper-chest release.
