Head & Scalp Massage

Sustained fingertip and pressure-point massage of the scalp is present in every head spa menu we found. It is not one timed block — it is woven through the cleansing, treatment and rinse steps for most of the session. Practitioners describe techniques in menu and trade coverage as targeting the scalp muscles to support circulation and release tension; those are practitioner descriptions, not medical findings.

What happens

  1. Massage begins early, often during the pre-cleanse oil or gel application.
  2. Fingertips, and on some menus brushes, gua sha combs or other tools, work pressure points across the scalp in sections.
  3. The massage continues through the massage shampoo and treatment steps rather than stopping between them.
  4. It typically runs alongside the halo rinse and into the neck and shoulder work near the end.

Core or add-on?

Core. There is no credible full head spa without it — it is the connective tissue of the 60–90 minute session.

Typical price & duration

Included in every menu we found and never priced separately; its price is inseparable from the whole-session price. See the cost guide for what full sessions run.
