It depends
Blowout & Finishing
The end of a head spa is where menus diverge most — and where surprise charges live. Three patterns exist: a simple rough dry included with styling extra; a full blowout included; or no drying at all, with hair left towel-dried. Never assume a blowout is in the price.
What happens
- Hair is towel-dried or rough-dried as the baseline finish.
- If a full finish is included, it is a blow-dry smooth or a styled blowout — Cosset includes a 'Blow Dry Service (doesn't include style)' in all tiers, and Volition's higher tiers list a customised blowout while its Essential tier includes only a rough finish blow-dry.
- If it is not included, you choose: leave with towel-dried or rough-dried hair, or pay the add-on.
Core or add-on?
Split market. Some studios include a blowout, some include only a rough dry, and some — like Lustre, whose Signature leaves hair towel-dried — sell the blow dry as an extra or reserve it for the VIP tier.
Typical price & duration
Galaxy Head Spa lists a blow dry add-on at $25 and blow dry plus style at $45. Hart Salon lists a blowout upgrade at +$35. At Lustre, adding a blow dry takes its Signature from $149 to $184. Where a blow dry is timed, Lustre prices a 30-minute blow dry add-on; other menus do not time it.
